My swollen Feet!
Today was our 36 week appointment. Everything is looking good. I am 60% effaced and 1 cm dilated. Yippy! Those exams are not fun though! Ethan is still a boy... we had an u/s today because I had not been feeling a lot of movement. But there he was on the screen, all squished measuring 37weeks and 2 days and his weight is estimated to be about 6lbs and 10oz. My growing boy!

| My doctor is actually the one who showed us this little trick earlier today, to show us how I was swelling. But she said I look good, my blood pressure is fine and all that. Just normal pregnancy swelling. |
Relaxing Sunday
Today was a very nice and relaxing day. We slept in after working late at a wedding last night. The wedding was great though, lots of fun and great couple.
We went to Copelands for brunch with Dayna and Chad, which was really good. I had the french toast with banana flambe, so freaking good. The french toast was so nice and crispy on the outside, yum yum! Dayna had these great crabcakes with eggs benedict & cheesy grits. I didn't have any of her eggs but I stole many bites of the grits, yum! Definitely not the healthiest things to eat, but what the heck. After brunch we came back to our house and watched my dvd on labor and birth. We laid on the couch and relaxed, the boys surfed the web or took naps (bee is the nap taker). |
One of the funniest parts of this video is when the instructor is talking about losing the mucous plug and how some women will show their spouses. Dayna and I were laughing as Chad and Bee had horrified looks because we can see ourselves showing off this little item to our hubbies!
Then we decided to go and see the movie SuperBad... HILARIOUS! But I have to say the Palace movie theater didn't design comfortable seating for pregnant women. Being 35 weeks pregnant and trying to sit for that length of time in those chairs is very uncomfortable. So funny movie, good time... not comfortable seating.
We always have a great time hanging out with Dayna and Chad and feel so lucky to have them as friends. |
Mommy has heartburn, Ethan has the hiccups!
| There is nothing like waking up with heartburn. Fun! Ethan has had the hiccups at least once a day. I read that this is normal and I shouldn't be concerned. He has also been quite active lately, so that has been nice for Beebe, he can feel him moving around from the outside. I am 34 weeks! |
Other then the heartburn I have been feeling pretty good, just uncomfortable. It doesn't help that the heat here is unbearable! We will definitely think about weather and the time of year for our next child!
We are hoping that Ethan is still a "Ethan" when he comes out! We were watching a dvd about labor, "Laugh & Learn about Childbirth" and at the end they do a reunion with the couples who were on the dvd. Well TWO of the couples who were told they were having boys had GIRLS! Beebe and I looked at each other and were like uh oh! Hopefully after 3 ultrasounds checking, Ethan is still a boy, otherwise we'll have a Mia with a very big wardrobe of boy clothes! haha. Actually it wouldn't be that funny!
We have Jessica's couples shower on Aug. 25th so I am looking forward to that, especially the cake. On the 28th we have a prenatal class we are taking at East Jefferson Hospital and on the 31st we have our baptism seminar at St. Christopher's. September will be here before we know it! |

| Pictures by Beebe & Corine - yes we set the camera on the timer and jumped into position... Sometimes it worked out great and others... not too great. It was hard focusing while Bee had to run and jump into position. But I think we got some great ones regardless! |
